Shikakai not only cleans your hair without stripping it's natural oils, it is very beneficial for your scalp and helps to prevent dandruf and promote healthy hair growth. It also helps prevent hair tangling, and makes flyaway hair more managable.
Directions: Mix shikakai in to a paste with water, apply all over scalp & hair, leave it on for a a few minutes & rinse off. Avoid getting Shikakai in your eyes. Shikakai can also be made into a tea or decoction which you rinse your hair with.
Shikakai can be mixed to your own recipes with other Ayurvedic powders. For example mix it with reetha powder to enhance the cleansing properties, or mix it with amla to give gloss and promote hair growth.
I've used it once so far, diluting 1tbs of the powder with the same amount of water in a squeeze bottle. I gradually added more water until the mixture was kinda runny but not too liquid. I then scrubbed the mixture into my dry scalp and massaged for a while before rinsing. My hair was very soft afterwards, but maybe not as squeaky clean. So I'm alternating with the soap nuts powder, which is foamy and good for cleaning but left my hair a tad dry. Next experiment will be to use both at the same time.
Bought for the first time and tried it but was skeptical. Literally have not used a 'normal' shampoo since. Treats my dandruff as well as head and shoulders, hair feels healthier after washing and not stripped of natural oils. Would recommend to anyone.
Firstly opening the inner see through packet with the powder decided to clip off the corner.and puffs of powder shot out. the same with the other packet. Decided to mix about 2 teaspoons + of each in a small plastic bowl with a teaspoon and a little water, and it was a kind of yoghurt mixture, which waited while the hair was washed with the herbal shampoo.
then after patting the hair with towel just spooned on the mixture and it sat there. The hair is pretty fine and thin and I waited 30 mins and rinsed it off. it came off with the shower attachment and squeaked clean.
It combed out fine. it says good for tangling the shikaki and it did not knot, and the bhringaraj said fortifies hair and helps prevent thinning balding - so fingers crossed.
The hair has had your henna on it every month for about a year now, and so it will be interesting to see if it gets better conditioning after these applications.
Thank you.
The product was absolutely worth it and makes your hair healthy nd strong 👍🏻👍🏻 the product is original
I tried it as a dry shampoo instead and it worked well. It lasts for a few hours.
