How to Combine Henna and Indigo to get a red/brown, brown or a black shade
The approximate quantities are as follow - it will of course depend how thick your hair is and how thickly you apply the paste:
If you are mixing henna and indigo in one single application, the combined weight of the two powders should be what is given in the above guidlines.
Been using henna for over 10 years, this is the first time I've ever been able to fully cover grey's without red. In fact I'll probably leave the indigo on a little less time in the future, it truly went to black. Also, I've never used an indigo that wasn't clumpy and dry, this one is smooth and silky and adheres to the hair. Love it!
I was looking for a more natural way to hide grey hair and after significant research I decided to use pure henna and indigo. I love the fact that I can change the shade of my colour by changing the ratio of henna & indigo. I love the colour. The only downside is the long process which I have always followed and never been disappointed. Even my hairdresser commented positively on the colour and the hair condition. Very happy customer.
I've tried henna and indigo from other companies, but I think this product dyes best. However, I believe it's due to my hair type that the henna takes time to take.
I used the henna and the indigo separately to cover my white hairs coming in. It takes time, and can be messy, but the powders did their job wonderfully.
