Organic Cassia powder is sometimes called 'colourless henna' but it is not henna. It can be used as a conditioner for giving your hair volume and shine, or you can mix it with your henna or indigo paste.

Cassia is also sometimes called 'blonde henna' because if it is soaked in lemon juice overnight it can give a golden tint to blonde, light grey or light coloured hair.

Description Review

If Cassia is mixed into a paste and used immediately it has a conditioning effect only and does not give a golden colour.

Cassia can be mixed with a small amount, say 10% henna to achieve a strawberry blonde shade on light coloured hair.

Cassia is also good for your scalp and it is said that it can help to get rid of dandruff.

Good quality cassia

I mix 1/4 packet cassia with acv and water. Leave overnight.
Just before using, I add 1/4 tsp henna powder to it, Leave on for 4 hours. Get a nice golden blond colour on hair. Only lasts about 6 washes but it’s fine for special occasions. No nasty chemicals involved.
