Before you dye your hair, and especially if you use a silicone-based conditioner, we recommend you use this clarifying treatment to achieve the best results. It ensures no oils or residue remains on your hair that can inhibit colour uptake or make the result less even.

This freshly-scented natural clarifier is free from sulphates and other harsh chemicals that strip the scalp and hair of vital natural oils, but is strong enough to cleanse away unwanted chemicals.

Works well though gloopy

Although it’s quite difficult to use, it does its job well and the colour really took on my hair.

This was a weird texture, not at all easy to apply to hair. The texture was gelatinous and was kind of clumpy. However, I used it as directed and while washing out I noticed clumps if it was being washed out so I'm not sure if it was effective or not. I used it's pure henna dye directly afterwards which actually absorbed better on my hair than other brands so I'm not sure if this is because the clarifying product worked or if It's Pure henna is a better quality. I'm glad I bought it either way as the results are great.

Works Well, though Messy

After years of hennaing my hair, I used this before my latest henna treatment with Very Dark Brown, with added indigo. It did a good job for the henna, but was difficult to use. Getting the gel from the jar was okay, but blobs kept falling from my head into the basin. Perhaps it needs to be worked in the hands before applying to hair, which I will try next time.
