Before you dye your hair, and especially if you use a silicone-based conditioner, we recommend you use this clarifying treatment to achieve the best results. It ensures no oils or residue remains on your hair that can inhibit colour uptake or make the result less even.

This freshly-scented natural clarifier is free from sulphates and other harsh chemicals that strip the scalp and hair of vital natural oils, but is strong enough to cleanse away unwanted chemicals.

How to use: Work into your hands and then apply to hair, ensuring it is evenly distributed along the full length of your hair. Leave for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Works Well, though Messy

After years of hennaing my hair, I used this before my latest henna treatment with Very Dark Brown, with added indigo. It did a good job for the henna, but was difficult to use. Getting the gel from the jar was okay, but blobs kept falling from my head into the basin. Perhaps it needs to be worked in the hands before applying to hair, which I will try next time.

Smells clean. I used it before my first pure henna dye. Wanted to make sure I did it right.

Rather an unexpected jelly-like texture but it was easy to apply and smelt pleasant (I believe it was tea tree oil I could smell). It left my hair feeling cleansed and ready to accept the henna dye.
